Since becoming hooked on drums as part of a cub scout band at the age of 10, Elliott has played in all sorts of acts, from world-class showbands, through funk bands, rock ‘n’ roll and dep(utising) for many popular covers bands. He fires on all cylinders when it comes to metal though.
Elliott met Nigel and Phil when they recruited him for their rock band VooDoo back in the early 90s. What an amazing couple of years that was, which included an appearance on BBC’s Casualty with the awesome Brian Hibbard, performing their own track Horno VooDoo. Not only was it an awesome band it formed an awesome friendship that is even stronger today than when it began over 30 years ago. It was back in 2019 that Karl invited Elliott to power Metal Gods and prior to that Elliott was emulating Nicko McBrain as part of Powerslaves Iron Maiden tribute where he met Ian as they shared the same stages on many occasions. So many years have passed with too many bands and styles of drumming to mention here. Elliott has performed with bands around the world including Canada, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Spain and USA.
This Metallised project has been a welcomed surprise to Elliott. He was dubious about being able to achieve the quality he always strives for, seeing as the band was having to create this project remotely around COVID from the beginning of 2020, but he’s blown away with Awakenings and the first album of demos. He is grateful to Nigel for pushing them all to get this up and running.

Inspiring quote
“I grant myself the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference” This is my 😇 agnostic version of a very well known prayer written by American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr.
On a less spiritual note, this very funny quote, “If I can hear you chew, then I have fantasised about your death!” 🥴🤣

Elliott is left-handed but plays his kit set up for a right-handed drummer. The reason for this? Elliott was part of a marching showband in his youth and was given just 3 weeks to relearn how to play the drums the opposite way around. If he didn’t he would have been dropped from the drumline ( the competition judging was so strict there was no room for visual error ). He made it and they became World Showband Champions! Solely down to Elliott of course 😇 🤣 🏆 🥁
